Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and board member David Schwartz outlined five-year outlooks for XRP in a video shared on Oct. 28. Garlinghouse said Ripple would prioritize XRP where it suited customers’ transactions, while some transactions were better suited to fiat currencies or its RLUSD stablecoin. Schwartz predicted wider everyday use of blockchain, comparing its future accessibility to the internet.
Ripple said its products enabled more than $16 trillion in transactions in 2025. Garlinghouse said 99.9% of that activity still used traditional rails and hoped to report the following year that 1% to 3% had moved onchain; he did not report that shift as completed.
