Altcoin Rally Predicted for February 2025

Crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen predicts that an altcoin rally won’t occur before February 2025. He believes the ALT/BTC pairs haven’t reached their lowest point yet, and the current altcoin bounce is temporary due to insufficient liquidity.

Cowen notes that Bitcoin dominance will likely continue to grow until the Federal Reserve announces rate cuts. Historically, ALT/BTC pairs act as oscillators and, despite recent gains, remain above their long-term lows.

In 2019, ALT/BTC pairs saw a brief rally before the Fed’s rate cuts but declined again. Cowen expects a similar pattern this time, suggesting that significant altcoin rallies typically occur post-Bitcoin halving, likely in 2025.

He concludes that ALT/BTC pairs will keep declining until quantitative easing resumes. This insight underscores the strategic importance of understanding historical cycles in cryptocurrency investments for long-term success.
