Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, announced plans to delist Internet Computer (ICP) and Maverick Protocol (MAV) spot trading pairs on July 19. The removal affects ICP/BNB and MAV/TUSD pairs due to poor liquidity and trading volume.
Despite this, both ICP and MAV experienced significant price increases amid a broader crypto market recovery. ICP saw an 8% rise, trading at $10.12, while MAV surged 8% to $0.2304.
In addition, Binance is hosting “The Battle of The Meme Dogs,” a promotional event featuring Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, ending on July 29. This event offers substantial rewards to participants, highlighting Binance’s engagement with popular meme coins.
These strategic moves reflect Binance’s ongoing efforts to maintain a high-quality trading environment while capitalizing on trending assets. The delisting decisions and new events underscore the exchange’s dynamic approach to market conditions.
