Ripple Launches Trading and Lending with DBS

Ripple, DBS, and Franklin Templeton Launch Trading and Lending Solutions

  • Ripple has partnered with DBS and Franklin Templeton to introduce trading and lending services using the RLUSD stablecoin.
  • The partnership was formalized in Singapore through a memorandum of understanding.
  • DBS Digital Exchange will list Franklin Templeton’s sgBENJI tokenized money market product alongside RLUSD.
  • Clients can trade between a yield-bearing token and Ripple’s stablecoin in real time, allowing for easy portfolio rebalancing.
  • DBS will explore lending solutions using sgBENJI tokens as collateral for liquidity access.

This collaboration aims to enhance efficiency and liquidity in global financial markets by integrating tokenised securities into traditional finance frameworks. The launch is also part of Ripple’s strategy to position RLUSD as a global settlement currency, targeting financial institutions in African markets.

The Ripple-DBS-Franklin Templeton alliance marks a significant step in the tokenisation of assets, providing new avenues for institutional investors to manage risk and generate yield through innovative trading solutions.(Source)
