Ripple Lawsuit: Key Motions Filed Ahead Judgment

Parties involved in the Ripple class action lawsuit have submitted administrative motions to seal certain exhibits. This follows a recent order from Judge Hamilton favoring Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple Labs, and XRP II. The court has set deadlines for motions and hearings in July, with a key date for filing the narrowed motion to seal set for Monday.

Judge Phyllis Hamilton directed the parties to reconsider their sealing motions. She had previously denied sealing any portions of the briefs. Ripple has argued that Judge Torres’ summary judgment should apply equally in this case, asserting that the plaintiffs failed to prove XRP is a security.

Pro-crypto lawyer Fred Rispoli estimates that the final order in the remedies phase could be delivered by July 12 or later in the month. Notably, whales are accumulating XRP ahead of Judge Torres’ final judgment on penalties.

The price of XRP remains around $0.43, aiming to surpass the $0.45 level. However, trading volume has slightly decreased. Technical charts indicate that XRP needs to rebound above the descending trend to move towards $0.45.

This case holds strategic importance as it could set a precedent for how digital assets are regulated in the future.
