SEC Amends Binance Lawsuit, Solana Cleared

In the latest development, the U.S. SEC has amended its complaint against Binance, Binance.US, and co-founder Changpeng Zhao. The amendment, filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia on July 30, includes changes concerning third-party crypto asset securities.

The SEC stated there’s no need for the court to rule on these tokens at this time. This follows a court order on July 9 that BNB and BUSD secondary sales are not securities.

The parties have agreed on a schedule for briefing the motion to amend, with deadlines within 30 days. This provides partial relief for crypto assets like Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), and Polygon (MATIC), which were mentioned in the SEC complaint.

This development underscores the ongoing regulatory scrutiny and its impact on major crypto assets.
