Earlier this week, the ApeCoin DAO voted to launch an APE-themed hotel in central Bangkok. With over 91% of votes in favor, the proposal shows strong community support.
Voting began on July 18, and as of now, 4.6 million APE have voted “yes,” while 411 thousand APE have voted against. Known as AIP-448, the project aims to merge intellectual property, hospitality, arts, and cryptocurrency.
The hotel will offer ApeCoin-themed attractions like exhibitions, a bar, and rooms decorated for different APE communities. It seeks 410,000 APE from the ecosystem fund to proceed. Voting ends on July 31.
The hotel aims to promote ApeCoin and ApeChain, offering 50% of themed room revenue to the DAO treasury for a year and accepting ApeCoin as payment. Additional benefits include 50 free nights for APE holders and complimentary access to some facilities.
This initiative could significantly enhance ApeCoin’s real-world utility, boosting its circulation and community engagement. The strategic move underscores the potential for cryptocurrency integration into diverse sectors.
