Brett (BRETT), the largest meme coin on the Base Blockchain, surged over 12% on Monday, reaching $0.1395. The rally followed a 3.1% rise in Bitcoin (BTC), which hit $69,471 after Republican candidate Donald Trump’s announcement to make Bitcoin a national strategic asset if elected.
Brett’s market cap now exceeds $1.38 trillion, making it the 71st largest cryptocurrency. Despite the gains, BRETT is still down 27.8% from its all-time high of $0.1939.
The token’s 24-hour trading volume was $50.7 million. Base, launched by Coinbase in 2023, has over $1.727 billion in DeFi assets, ranking it 6th in the industry.
Brett’s price showed a steady climb from $0.123 to $0.140, forming a morning star pattern, a historical indicator of double-digit gains. However, there’s a risk it could be a dead cat bounce, suggesting a potential return to bearish trends.
