Taurus, a fintech startup, has expanded its custody and issuance platforms to the Stellar network, as announced on June 24. The regulated firm now offers Taurus-PROTECT and Taurus-CAPITAL on Stellar, providing custody and tokenization services.
This integration supports asset-agnostic issuance and custody of tokenized assets on Stellar. Jürgen Hofbauer, head of global strategic partnerships at Taurus, noted that Stellar is optimized for asset tokenization.
Stellar’s blockchain sees growing interest, with this collaboration marking a significant milestone for real-world asset (RWA) adoption. The move enables fast transactions and reduced fees for tokenization across various financial products.
Taurus serves over 30 financial institutions and also offers TDX, a crypto assets marketplace, and Taurus-EXPLORER, a blockchain node infrastructure platform. Notably, Franklin Templeton and WisdomTree have utilized Stellar’s blockchain for their tokenization projects.
This collaboration sets the stage for greater adoption of tokenized assets within regulated financial institutions, enhancing the infrastructure for future growth.
