Illuvium co-founder Kieran Warwick predicts AI tools could help launch as many as 100,000 short-lived crypto “meme games” within a year. He says tools have cut the time and cost of making such games to days and around $1,000, but the forecast is not a count of games already launched.
Warwick said a flood of disposable games would “probably not” benefit crypto gaming in the long run and could leave speculators with losses. Animoca Brands CEO Robby Yung doubted such games would retain players, while Mirai Labs CEO Corey Wilton questioned whether more games could overcome weak demand. Yung said the small number of enjoyable crypto games also makes it hard to judge whether crypto itself is the problem.
