Solana Company said on October 22, 2026, that Hong Kong had selected it as a strategic enterprise under a program to attract businesses. The government confirmed that 18 enterprises had been added to the program, bringing its total to 142. The company said it was the only blockchain infrastructure company selected by the office in 2026.
A company spokesperson said the designation gives Solana Company a single point of contact across government agencies and regulators, faster routes to recruit overseas talent, and introductions to local institutional partners. The company said it plans to establish validator operations in Hong Kong; it did not say those operations were already in place.
