Livepeer Soars 17%, Profit-Taking Rises #Crypto

Livepeer (LPT) surged 17.7% in the past 24 hours, trading at $24.5 and briefly hitting $26.16. This rally pushed its market cap over $800 million, placing it in the top 100 cryptocurrencies at the 95th spot.

Launched in 2017 as the first decentralized live video streaming platform, Livepeer’s native token hit an all-time low of $0.42 in March 2020 before peaking at $100.24 in November 2021. The daily trading volume spiked by 108% to $140 million.

Exchange inflows increased by 115%, indicating short-term profit-taking by investors, including whales. Exchange outflows rose by 42%, suggesting long-term investment interest. The relative strength index (RSI) climbed from 48 to 61, signaling that Livepeer is slightly overbought.

The heightened trading activity and increased RSI suggest potential high price volatility for LPT. This event underscores the dynamic nature of cryptocurrency investments and the strategic importance of monitoring market trends closely.
