Polygon has launched Season 01 of its Community Grants Program, committing 35 million MATIC to support developers working on the Polygon and Ethereum ecosystems. Starting June 11, the funds will be distributed in MATIC, transitioning to POL in subsequent seasons.
Eligible projects must be building on or willing to migrate to Polygon, ensuring long-term network commitment. The grant approval process averages four weeks, with payouts scheduled monthly. Projects can secure between 5,000 to over 50,000 MATIC in funding.
Applications fall into two categories: the General Grant Track for diverse projects and the Consumer Crypto Track focusing on areas like gaming and NFT innovations. The Community Treasury Board, introduced in April, will oversee fund allocation and monthly reviews.
This program, alongside Polygon’s recent acquisition of Toposware, underscores its strategic move to strengthen Zero-knowledge development and long-term ecosystem growth.
