Cardano had 42,604,371 ADA of treasury withdrawal authority left as of Oct. 16, 2026, after 30 enacted withdrawals totaling 457,395,629 ADA. Its agreed 500 million ADA ceiling covers epochs 613 through 713, from Feb. 13, 2026, to around July 3, 2027. The treasury held about 1.38 billion ADA, but that balance does not expand the withdrawal allowance.
A proposed 22 million ADA copper-reserve withdrawal was still unratified and unenacted, so it had not reduced the remaining authority. If enacted in full before any other new withdrawal, with the limit unchanged, it would leave 20,604,371 ADA. The ceiling counts gross withdrawals: returned funds do not restore room, while programs can continue spending money already withdrawn. Governance can agree to a new limit for additional withdrawals.
