Polkadot Transactions Surge Despite DOT Price Drop

Polkadot’s ecosystem has shown resilience with a 33% growth in transactions, even as its token DOT hit a seven-month low. Data from DotLake revealed that transactions increased from 12 million in May to 16 million in June, driven by One Frequency and Mythos Chain.

One Frequency, focused on decentralized social apps, saw transactions rise by 3 million, while Mythos Chain added 800,000 transactions. Unique addresses with non-zero balances also increased slightly to over 7 million.

Polkadot’s OpenGov platform experienced a 66% boost in proposals, indicating active community governance. The treasury holds a robust $167 million, debunking concerns about its viability.

Despite a market slump, DOT fell to $4.98 but recovered to $5.79. Whales have been buying the dip, with one acquiring 2.6 million DOT for staking. This strategic activity underscores Polkadot’s long-term potential and resilience.
