VeChain Soars 11% After Coinbase Listing News

On June 22, Coinbase announced it had added VeChain (VET) and its gas token, VeThor, to its asset listing roadmap. The next day, VeChain’s price surged to a 16-day high of $0.01899.

This marks a significant rebound for VeChain, which hit a year-to-date peak of $0.03257 on February 20 before plummeting 40% due to U.S. bank failures. The price saw a further drawdown to $0.01419 in June amid regulatory concerns from the SEC.

Coinbase’s new listing policy aims for greater transparency by showing assets they have decided to list without giving specific timelines. This change follows their settlement with the SEC over insider trading charges involving former employees.

Adding VeChain to Coinbase’s roadmap suggests potential future growth and recognition for the token. This move could strategically enhance VeChain’s market presence and investor confidence.
