Ripple Prime said on October 15 that it had introduced perpetual swaps referencing more than 100 traditional markets for eligible institutional clients. Availability depends on jurisdiction and the offering’s licensing arrangements. The contracts reference perpetual futures listed by Trade.xyz on Hyperliquid, and Ripple Prime acts as principal to its customers.
The swaps offer derivative exposure, not ownership of the underlying assets, and carry funding, margin, counterparty and liquidation risks. Around-the-clock trading does not mean the underlying traditional markets are open for continuous price discovery. Clients can cross-margin positions with other supported assets and use Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin as collateral where available.
