Ripple announced an expanded partnership with Water.org in late October to use Ripple Payments, the RLUSD stablecoin and wallet services in the nonprofit’s operations. Ripple says earlier work moved more than $3.2 million across four markets, with same-day settlement in Mexico and Brazil replacing waits of two to three days. Those are partner-reported payment results, not independent measures of household access to water or sanitation.
Faster settlement does not necessarily mean a local lender has the currency, information and approvals needed to make a loan. Funding delivery and household outcomes need separate measurement.
