The Solana Foundation’s October 22, 2026 changelog listed Agave v4.3.2, Firedancer mainnet v26.10.4 and Web3.js v3.1.1 among recent releases. It recorded Alpenglow as an activated mainnet feature gate, while Firedancer was moving to retire TowerBFT code.
The changelog also described ongoing work on validator file-system I/O, gossip and earlier checks for unsupported sBPF deployments. Client developers were exploring Transaction V1, but deprecating legacy transactions remained a proposal, not a completed removal. The mix of releases and unfinished work does not establish adoption, performance gains or market effects.
