Antpool mined Bitcoin block 974961 on Nov. 7, 2026, with 11,255 transactions, the second-highest count for a single block. It fell 984 short of the record set by F2pool on Aug. 1, 2015. The count does not imply a similar rise in bitcoin payments or value transferred: most transactions in the new block were compact, low-fee transactions associated with specialized activity.
The block collected about 0.002405 BTC in fees and used roughly 99.85% of Bitcoin’s 4 million weight-unit limit. The 2015 record block held 12,239 transactions under an earlier 1 MB size limit and emerged from cleanup of small outputs linked to reported spam or network stress tests. The two counts therefore reflect different ways of packing transactions into blocks.
