AgriFORCE Utilizes Stranded Gas for Bitcoin Mining Expansion

  • Canadian firm AgriFORCE Growing Systems Ltd. has launched a site in Berwyn, Alberta, using stranded gas to power 120 Bitcoin mining rigs.
  • The site, in partnership with BlueFlare Energy, operates at a capacity of 425 kilowatts (kW) for a computing power of 32 petahashes per second (PH/s).
  • AgriFORCE plans to expand by opening two more sites in Oyen and Hinton, Alberta, replicating the Berwyn model.
  • The company has mined seven Bitcoin worth approximately $735,000 from its operations in Alberta and Ohio.
  • AgriFORCE experienced a revenue increase of over threefold and a net profit rise of more than two-thirds during the fiscal year ending in the previous year.

AgriFORCE is leveraging stranded gas to efficiently power its Bitcoin mining operations without waiting for permits or grid upgrades, showcasing an innovative approach to energy use in crypto mining. This strategy not only supports sustainable practices but also positions AgriFORCE for potential growth within the cryptocurrency sector by expanding its operations across Alberta.
