Bitcoin ETFs Erase $5.8 Billion Deficit

Significant Recovery in Bitcoin ETFs Amid Price Surge

  • U.S.-listed spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen nearly $800 million in net inflows this year.
  • On July 13, these ETFs were down $5.8 billion for the year, marking a significant low point.
  • Bitcoin’s price rose to $85,000 from under $58,000 in early June, contributing to the ETF recovery.
  • Since August’s announcement by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent regarding increased bond purchases, nearly $4 billion has flowed into these ETFs.
  • The ETFs have experienced six consecutive days of inflows despite bitcoin’s price stabilizing above $85,000.

The recent influx of capital into bitcoin ETFs indicates a strong recovery from earlier losses and aligns with bitcoin’s price rebound. However, net inflows remain significantly lower than previous years’ totals of $35.2 billion in the following year and $21.4 billion thereafter.

With current net inflows at approximately $800 million, the turnaround from a $5.8 billion deficit highlights the growing interest in Bitcoin investment strategies.(Source)
