Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies, has been showing increasing interest in Bitcoin. In a recent poll on X, Bitcoin received 43% of 61,489 votes, suggesting strong enthusiasm among his followers.
This interest comes after Dell’s interaction with MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor, who emphasized Bitcoin’s value as “Digital Scarcity.” Dell’s subsequent playful post featuring a Bitcoin meme further fueled speculation about his growing interest in digital currencies.
Dell Technologies had previously adopted Bitcoin as a payment method in 2014 but discontinued it in 2017 due to low demand. The recent rise in Bitcoin’s popularity, marked by the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs, could prompt Dell Technologies to revisit BTC investments.
Institutional investors like MicroStrategy have already adopted a Bitcoin strategy, holding 226,331 Bitcoins worth approximately $8.33 billion. The increasing institutional adoption highlights Bitcoin’s strategic importance as a valuable, scarce asset in the digital era.
