Metaplanet Raises 3.6 Billion JPY for Bitcoin Acquisition

• Metaplanet raised 3.6 billion JPY (approximately $23 million) through ordinary bond issuance.
• The bonds are interest-free and redeemable at face value by the end of October 2025.
• The funds will be used to purchase Bitcoin, aiming to reach a target of 10,000 BTC by the end of 2025.
• Metaplanet has accumulated over 5,000 BTC, including a recent purchase of 145 BTC in April.
• A new US subsidiary was launched with $250 million operating capital to facilitate further Bitcoin purchases.

Metaplanet’s issuance of $23 million in bonds is part of its strategy to aggressively accumulate Bitcoin, with plans to increase its holdings significantly by the end of 2025.
