Bitcoin Price Plummets: Today’s Key Factors

Bitcoin’s price fell nearly 1% in the last 24 hours, stunting its weekly growth to 1.6%. At press time, BTC trades at $66,418 due to recent Mt Gox repayments.

On July 24, Mt Gox moved 37,477 BTC, valued at over $3 billion, sparking fears of a market impact. Total repayment will distribute 140,000 BTC, affecting market sentiment.

Another factor is Hong Kong’s first BTC futures inverse product, which increases selling pressures. Institutional investor activity and anticipated interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve could drive a rebound.

Despite the current downturn, Bitcoin’s network fundamentals remain strong. The listing of spot Ethereum ETFs in the U.S. offers new investment opportunities.

Long-term, Bitcoin’s resilience and institutional interest may help it recover and achieve new heights.
