Bitcoin Selloff Looms as U.S. Transfers More

On June 28, the U.S. government transferred 11.84 BTC, worth roughly $726,000, from a seized wallet. This move follows a larger transfer of 4,000 BTC to Coinbase Prime on June 26, raising fears of a potential Bitcoin selloff.

The BTC was seized from Estonian fraudsters Sergei Potapenko and Ivan Turogin. Notably, the German government has also been active in selling its Bitcoin holdings, adding to market unease.

Despite analysts’ concerns, CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju reassures that Coinbase Prime can handle these transactions without significant market disruption. The recent activities reflect broader trends, with other major market players also offloading Bitcoin.

The strategic significance lies in the potential influence on market stability and investor sentiment, highlighting the broader implications of government actions on cryptocurrency markets.
