BlackRock Inc’s Global Allocation Fund, as of April 30, owned 43,000 IBIT shares, making it the largest Bitcoin fund, surpassing Grayscale GBTC. On May 28, BlackRock disclosed Bitcoin exposure in its Strategic Global Bond Fund and Strategic Income Opportunities Portfolio.
As of May 30, BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT managed nearly $19.79 billion in assets, outstripping Grayscale’s $19.75 billion. IBIT’s trading volume reached $1 billion, with more than 300,000 BTC valued at $18.4 billion.
Other spot Bitcoin ETFs also saw inflows, with Bitcoin ETF flows totaling over $21 million on June 26. Fidelity Investments led the influx, while BlackRock remained neutral. Grayscale’s GBTC saw a positive turnaround after previous outflows.
The SEC has approved spot Ethereum ETFs, with firms like VanEck filing further documentation. The ecosystem also saw the first Solana ETF filing in the U.S. by VanEck on June 27.
This development highlights the growing institutional interest and strategic importance of cryptocurrency ETFs in the broader financial market.
