BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) recorded a massive $0.5 billion inflow on July 22, pushing its total Bitcoin holdings to $22.5 billion. The IBIT share price surged over 20% in the past two weeks due to strong inflows.
Since its launch in January, IBIT’s total inflows have reached nearly $2 billion in the last 12 trading sessions, showcasing significant institutional and retail interest. This makes IBIT a dominant player in the US Bitcoin ETF market.
IBIT’s current trading volume has hit nearly $1 billion for the third time in a week, holding over 325,000 BTC. In comparison, Fidelity’s FBTC ranks second with an AUM of $12.19 billion.
Speculations suggest that BlackRock’s upcoming Ethereum ETF might mirror IBIT’s success. BlackRock’s competitive management fee of 0.25% for Ether ETFs could attract substantial investment, enhancing its market presence.
The strategic importance of these ETFs could reshape the cryptocurrency market, reflecting BlackRock’s growing influence in financial innovation. This development signifies a broader institutional confidence and a potential shift in the financial landscape.
