CleanSpark Acquires 5 Bitcoin Mining Sites

Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark plans to acquire five mining sites in rural Georgia, U.S., as announced on June 18. The $25.8 million deal comes amid a significant dip in Bitcoin prices and ongoing miner capitulation.

This acquisition marks a milestone for CleanSpark, adding over 60 MW of infrastructure and boosting its operating hashrate to exceed 3.7 EH/s upon completion. CEO Zach Bradford emphasized that these sites will help achieve the company’s mid-year target of 20 EH/s of operating hashrate.

This proactive move aims to stabilize the mining industry during a challenging period, underscoring CleanSpark’s strategic growth. The company’s shares saw a slight uptick, reflecting market confidence. This acquisition is crucial for CleanSpark’s long-term expansion and operational efficiency in the Bitcoin mining sector.
