Ethereum ETF Gains Fraction of Bitcoin ETF Interest

The imminent approval of the U.S. Spot Ethereum ETF is generating buzz, with experts predicting it could begin trading as early as July 2. This optimism has already nudged Ethereum’s price up by 1% today.

Despite this anticipation, 10X Research suggests that the Ethereum ETF might only attract 15-20% of the investment seen in U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs, roughly translating to $2.8 billion. This projection is modest compared to the $600 million quickly amassed by VanEck’s Bitcoin ETF.

SEC Chairman Gary Gensler has hinted at smooth progress in the approval process, fueling further optimism. As of now, Ethereum’s price stands at $3,387.68, with trading volumes and futures open interest reflecting market positioning.

Approval of the Ethereum ETF marks a significant milestone, potentially setting the stage for broader acceptance and integration of Ethereum in mainstream finance.
