German Government Transfers 595 BTC to Exchanges

The German government recently transferred another 595 BTC ($36.5 million) to cryptocurrency exchanges, continuing a series of significant sell-offs. This brings the total Bitcoin sold by German authorities to over 2,000 BTC in recent days.

PeckShield, a blockchain security firm, reported that 750 BTC were moved in a single transaction, with 595 BTC distributed among major exchanges like Bitstamp, Kraken, and Flow Traders. Despite these sell-offs, Germany’s Bitcoin holdings remain substantial, valued at $2.76 billion, including $1.1 billion in unrealized profit.

Bitcoin’s price has shown resilience, holding above $61,000 with a market cap of $1.2 trillion. The cryptocurrency’s relative strength index (RSI) is nearing the bullish 50 RSI level, indicating potential for further gains. Bitcoin’s current market status reflects stability despite the ongoing sell-offs.

These actions by the German government highlight a strategic approach to managing digital assets, potentially influencing market dynamics and setting a precedent for other nations.
