JPMorgan Forecasts Bitcoin Beating Stocks, Bonds, Gold

JPMorgan Asset Management forecasts that Bitcoin will return 10% a year, compounded, over the next 10 to 15 years in its 2027 Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions. That exceeds its projected 7.5% return for U.S. large-cap stocks and 8.2% for real estate investment trusts, but the firm estimates Bitcoin’s annual volatility at 55%.

Its Bitcoin scenarios range from a 9.7% annual loss to a 17% annual gain. Despite the forecast, JPMorgan has not included Bitcoin in its strategic portfolio allocation models.
