DeFi Technologies’ subsidiary Valour has launched the first exchange-traded product (ETP) for Core DAO on the Swiss Spotlight Stock Exchange. This Bitcoin scaling solution integrates proof-of-work and delegated proof-of-stake mechanisms.
The Core Foundation revealed the CORE ETP as a new investment opportunity in the Core blockchain network. Rich Rines, founding contributor to CoreDAO, noted this as a significant milestone allowing traditional finance institutions to access the native CORE token. Core, founded in 2022, offers EMV-compatible services like non-custodial Bitcoin staking and yield-bearing Bitcoin ETP.
This launch follows a controversy where DeFi Technologies refuted allegations of stock manipulation by CoinSnacks. CoinSnacks had questioned the firm’s 3,400% stock surge as being driven by influencer promotions and media mentions.
The CORE ETP provides a unique investment avenue, bridging the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology, marking a strategic shift towards more integrated financial ecosystems.
