Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies, has been increasingly vocal about Bitcoin (BTC). A recent poll on his X account asked followers to choose between Artificial Intelligence, Bitcoin, Love, and relationships, with Bitcoin receiving 43% of the 61,489 votes.
Featuring Bitcoin in the poll suggests Dell’s growing interest in the digital asset, following interactions with MicroStrategy founder Michael Saylor. Dell previously tweeted about scarcity, prompting Saylor to highlight Bitcoin as “Digital Scarcity.”
Dell Technologies had accepted Bitcoin payments in 2014 but ceased them in 2017 due to low demand. Recent high demand for Bitcoin, evidenced by the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs, could see the company reinvest in BTC.
MicroStrategy’s strategy includes holding 226,331 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $8.33 billion. This trend among institutional investors underscores Bitcoin’s growing acceptance.
Dell’s engagement with Bitcoin could signal a strategic shift, highlighting its potential as a valuable asset due to its limited nature.
