Bitcoin miner CleanSpark Inc. has secured a 75 MW site in Wyoming, overcoming national security concerns raised by the White House. In July, the company added 1 EH/s to its hashrate in Tennessee, inching closer to its goal of 32 EH/s by the end of 2024.
The acquisition comes after CleanSpark’s purchase of mining sites from MineOne near Warren Air Force Base, which raised security alarms due to potential espionage risks. Despite this, CleanSpark mined 494 BTC in July, bringing its 2024 total to 4,108 BTC and ending the month with an operating hashrate of 21.2 EH/s.
As of July, CleanSpark held 7,082 BTC, showcasing its robust operations. The company’s persistence in expanding its hashrate highlights its strategic focus on growth and compliance, underscoring its long-term commitment to the Bitcoin mining industry, even amid geopolitical challenges.
