Cryptocurrency exchange OKX announced it will delist over 30 trading pairs tied to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) starting July 25. The move aims to “optimize liquidity” after comprehensive market monitoring.
The delisting will occur in phases, with pairs like LTC/ETH and MATIC/BTC among the first to go. OKX has advised users to cancel active orders before the deadlines to avoid automatic cancellations, which could take up to three business days.
This decision follows OKX’s recent withdrawal of its VASP license application in Hong Kong and cessation of operations in Nigeria. OKX emphasized its commitment to monitoring and enforcing its trading pair listings, ensuring adherence to its “Rules on Hiding Tokens and Delisting Trading Pairs.”
The strategic delisting underscores OKX’s focus on maintaining a streamlined and efficient trading environment, enhancing long-term market stability.
