  • Ross Ulbricht, founder of Silk Road, was arrested in 2013 and sentenced in 2015.
  • The U.S. government seized tens of thousands of Bitcoin from Silk Road operations.
  • Coinbase director Conor Grogan identified ~430 BTC still associated with Ulbricht’s wallets.
  • The untouched Bitcoin is valued at approximately $47 million today.
  • Ulbricht received a double life sentence plus 40 years without parole.
  • President Donald Trump issued an unconditional pardon for Ulbricht.

Conor Grogan revealed that around 430 BTC linked to Ross Ulbricht remain unconfiscated, now worth about $47 million. Despite the U.S. government’s efforts, these funds were not seized during the Silk Road investigation. President Trump has since pardoned Ulbricht, who had been serving a life sentence.
