Ancient Bitcoin Wallet Awakens, Moves $207 Million in BTC
- A dormant Bitcoin wallet moved 2,186 BTC worth approximately $207.51 million.
- The wallet initially received its Bitcoin in July 2013 when BTC was priced at $85.
- At the time of the recent transaction, Bitcoin’s price was $94,929, marking a 111,581% gain over about 142 months.
- The wallet also transferred smaller amounts received in March and November of 2014 (82 BTC and 75 BTC respectively).
- During dormancy, the wallet experienced dusting attacks with trace amounts of Bitcoin sent to it.
This week, a long-dormant Bitcoin wallet transferred a significant amount of BTC valued at $207.51 million after remaining inactive since receiving its initial stash in July 2013. The transaction reflects an enormous price increase from when the Bitcoin was first acquired.
