CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju said Bitcoin’s rising hashrate was an “indirect bullish signal” from institutions backing public miners. CryptoQuant data put hashrate at roughly 1,050 exahashes per second (EH/s) on Wednesday, up about 45% from July’s low of about 726 EH/s, but still below its October 2025 peak of 1,305 EH/s. Ju’s view is an interpretation of the rise, not a direct measure of institutional support.
In an October 20, 2026 announcement, NIP Group said it had agreed to buy about 4.47 EH/s of already-deployed mining hardware. The company expects the machines to increase production once the deal closes; it projected total hashrate of 13.85 EH/s across three tranches.
