HK Fund Sees Outflow Amid BTC Rise

On May 6, one of the newly launched Hong Kong Bitcoin ETFs experienced its first outflow of $4.9 million, despite the recent recovery of Bitcoin prices past $65,000. This marked a significant event as it was the first negative flow noted among the Hong Kong crypto ETFs, which had collectively attracted over $311 million in assets under management (AUM) in their debut week. The China AMC Bitcoin ETF led this initial surge, amassing $127.1 million alone. Despite this setback, the Hong Kong ETFs had already secured over 4,200 BTC, showcasing the local market’s strong interest and the strategic significance of these financial products in the global cryptocurrency landscape.
