US Bitcoin ETFs now control over 900,000 BTC, valued at nearly $60 billion, marking a significant milestone in the cryptocurrency sector. Since their launch in January 2024, these ETFs have attracted over $17 billion in net capital inflows.

According to Nate Geraci, head of ETF Store, these ETFs collectively hold about 4.3% of the total Bitcoin supply. BlackRock’s IBIT has become the largest Bitcoin ETF, surpassing Grayscale’s GBTC in assets under management, managing $21.97 billion compared to GBTC’s $18.29 billion as of July 19, 2024.

Other major players include Fidelity Investments with $12.14 billion and Bitwise Asset Management with $2.72 billion. The substantial capital inflows, reaching $383 million, reveal a growing acceptance of Bitcoin in mainstream financial markets.

This dynamic shift highlights the increasing confidence in digital assets, and the market’s evolution offers new opportunities and challenges for investors and institutions alike. The sustained interest in Bitcoin ETFs underscores their strategic importance in diversifying investment portfolios.
