Bitcoin Miners’ Market Cap Reaches $22.8 Billion

The market capitalization of 14 publicly traded Bitcoin mining companies in the US reached a record $22.8 billion in June, despite Bitcoin’s price falling below $67,000. Core Scientific led the pack with a 117% stock increase, driven by investor optimism and a significant $3.5 billion deal with CoreWave.

While most companies saw growth, Argo Blockchain experienced a 7% decline in stock value. However, the overall trend remained positive, reflecting strong investor confidence. Following Bitcoin’s halving in April 2024, mining difficulty decreased, reducing competition and potentially boosting profitability.

US miners now control 23.8% of Bitcoin’s hash rate, up by about 1%. This milestone underscores the resilience and growth potential of the US Bitcoin mining industry, setting a promising stage for future expansion and investment.
