Bitcoin Mining Reserves Plummet to 14-Year Low

Bitcoin miner reserves have hit a 14-year low, according to CryptoQuant, with current reserves at just 50% of their historical maximum. Analysts warn that this sharp decline could lead to a supply crisis amid rising demand.

Miners now hold roughly 1.8 million BTC, valued at $126 billion, while increasing activity and inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs contribute to the dwindling reserves. Experts predict that the resulting supply crunch could push Bitcoin prices to unprecedented levels.

Historically, such low reserve levels were last seen during Barack Obama’s presidency and before MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin acquisitions. The post-halving conditions could also force miners to liquidate assets, further straining supply.

Bitcoin’s diminishing miner reserves mark a critical juncture, with supply constraints likely driving significant price movements. Staying informed and strategic is essential for navigating these evolving market dynamics.
