CleanSpark Acquires Bitcoin Mining Companies for $28.5M

CleanSpark has acquired five bitcoin mining centers in Georgia for $28.5 million, boosting its capacity by 60 MW. This move is set to enhance CleanSpark’s current hashrate of 17.97 EH/s by an additional 3.7 EH/s.

These new facilities will host S21 Antminer units, aligning with CleanSpark’s plan to reach a 20 EH/s hashrate. CEO Zach Bradford highlighted the acquisition’s role in the company’s growth strategy. In May 2024, CleanSpark’s operations produced 417 BTC, averaging 13.45 BTC daily.

This acquisition is a major milestone for CleanSpark and the cryptocurrency mining industry. By increasing capacity and efficiency, CleanSpark is poised to meet the growing demand for bitcoin. This expansion not only strengthens CleanSpark’s market position but also contributes to the stability and growth of the crypto ecosystem.
