Super League Enterprise said shareholders approved proposals tied to Metaplanet’s planned Bitcoin contribution at an annual meeting on October 16. The deal has not closed: regulatory filings, Nasdaq requirements and other customary closing conditions remain outstanding. The companies are targeting the fourth quarter.
Under the proposed deal, Metaplanet’s US subsidiary would contribute 2,100 Bitcoin and $2.5 million in cash to Super League. After closing, the Nasdaq-listed company is expected to become Superplanet and trade as SUPA, while retaining its advertising and media business as an operating segment.
