Metaplanet executed strategic Bitcoin transactions to demonstrate liquidity capabilities to credit agencies, resulting in an increase of its Bitcoin holdings by 1,000 BTC. The company maintained cash reserves after selling more than its outstanding debts but did not repay them immediately.
This strategy resulted in a net increase in Bitcoin holdings and potential tax advantages due to capital losses on sales conducted below purchase prices.
