Heatbit’s $899 Water-Heater Element Mines Bitcoin

Heatbit unveiled Bitwater on October 22, 2026, as a Bitcoin-mining element for existing electric water heaters in the U.S. and Canada. The company says it fits the standard one-inch port on 30- to 80-gallon tanks. Its 20 mining chips deliver up to 34 terahashes per second while drawing up to 600 watts.

Heatbit says Bitwater heats water more slowly than a common 4,500-watt element; the tank’s existing upper element provides backup when demand rises. Refundable preorders cost $899 for the first batch, which is due to ship in the first quarter of 2027; later batches are priced at up to $1,299. Heatbit has not published its own earnings estimate, and says mining returns are not guaranteed.
