Initia halted its L1 blockchain and connected rollups on October 23, 2026, after a security incident. Co-founder Ezaan Mangalji said a previously unknown MoveVM flaw appeared to let an attacker mint and bridge out about $2.7 million worth of AUSD, ETH and USDC before the halt. He said the flaw did not apply to native INIT tokens, while Initia said it was still investigating the full impact.
Agora said its AUSD contracts were not compromised and that it has no contracts deployed on Initia. Upbit suspended INIT deposits and withdrawals. The chain remained offline at the latest reported check, and developers had not announced when it would resume.
