$1M Hackathon for Educational dApp Innovation

Open Campus has launched a $1 million hackathon to drive dApp innovation on the EDU Chain, starting on July 8, 2024. This event, supported by Animoca Brands, TinyTap, and ForbesWeb3, aims to enhance decentralized education.

The hackathon will unfold over three semesters, focusing on DeFi applications, education dApps, and education finance dApps respectively. EDU Chain, the first decentralized blockchain for education, seeks to democratize learning and empower participants.

Participants will compete for $1 million in EDU tokens and a place in the Open Campus accelerator, offering up to $100,000 in additional funding and extensive support. The dApps will be accessible to over 500,000 Open Campus ID holders, amplifying their impact.

With the global blockchain in education market projected to reach $1.34 billion by 2023 and 59% of institutions adopting blockchain, this hackathon could significantly shape the future of education technology.

This initiative underscores the strategic importance of integrating blockchain into education, promising long-term benefits and innovation.
