During the week of May 19 to May 25, blockchain startups collectively raised over $258 million, led by decentralized social protocol Farcaster’s $150 million Series A round. This funding round elevated Farcaster’s valuation to $1 billion, marking its entry into unicorn status.
According to Crypto Fundraising, four startups raised $179.2 million in Series A rounds, while 12 startups secured $24.1 million via unknown rounds. Additionally, five startups gained $21.3 million from seed rounds, and two locked in $20 million from strategic rounds.
Plume Network raised $10 million for its L2 blockchain to simplify integrating real-world assets onto blockchain platforms. Blockless secured $8 million to expand its decentralized physical infrastructure network. Pencils Protocol and IVX also received seed funding for their innovative crypto solutions.
